The Yemeni American Merchants Association is a proud a partner in this environmental campaign with the Wildlife Conservation Society. WCS launched Give a Sip campaign on May 23,2018 in support of legislation to eliminate single-use plastic straws in New York City.
On Tuesday, April 24th, the Yemeni American Merchants Association called for a 1-hour shutdown of bodega stores. Approximately 3,000 bodegas in 14 cities in heavily populated cities across the United States shut down in support of this action.
