Saleh Hassen is a 4th generation Yemeni American who was born in Alameda, California in 1973. Saleh worked in the family business while going to school. In 1993, Saleh graduated from high school and told his dad to expand from his small grocery store business into the supermarket chain. In 1993, Saleh and his father were able to purchase their 1st Key Food in Brooklyn, New York. With determination, Saleh and his family currently own and operate 11 Key Food supermarkets in 3 states. In 2014, Saleh and his family decided to expand into the restaurant field and brought a Denny’s franchise to NYC operating in Brooklyn & Queens.
